(February 21, 2022) Recently, two Hilong projects were recognized and made part of the first batch for the Shanghai High-tech Achievement Transformation Project in 2022. They were the "HL120S high steel grade sulfur-resistant drill pipe" from Shanghai Hilong Oil Drilling Tools Co., Ltd. and "HL-EXXJ-01 wheeled explosion-proof inspection robot" from Hilong Petroleum Group (Shanghai) Information Technology Co., Ltd. This brings Hilong’s total number of identified High-tech Achievement Transformation Projects to 29.

The Hilong HL120S high-grade sulfur-resistant drill pipe is characterized by its high strength, high toughness and high resistance to hydrogen sulfide stress corrosion. Compared with the existing 105SS sulfur-resistant drill pipes of the same specification, the bearing capacity has been increased by 14%. It will provide better performance in complex working conditions like deep and ultra-deep wells as well as large-reach horizontal wells in hydrogen sulfide-containing environments. This type of drill pipe is an urgently needed product for domestic and foreign complex sulfur-containing wells. The project innovatively solves problems related to material chemical composition design, heat treatment process and scale production technology. It also has achieved the first breakthrough of this type of technology in China. The successful development of the product is a crucial stepping stone for the Group to enter the broader international high-end market.

The Hilong wheeled explosion-proof inspection robot is a multi-dimensional perception intelligent inspection robot capable of detecting various safety risk anomalies in key facilities in the petrochemical industry. By integrating multi-dimensional perception systems such as radar, video, and laser, and working off of data intelligent analysis and identification technology, the project achieves several functions, including detection and evaluation of production and operation equipment status, abnormal early warning and alarm, and judgment and decision-making. The inspection robot project is a major project for the Hilong Group in the field of information technology. Its key technologies feature many innovative points and cutting-edge technologies associated with artificial intelligence and have been successfully tested in many domestic oilfields.
